Description
DropReference compares live prices of PC hardware across dozens of retailers (Amazon, Cdiscount, LDLC, Caseking, Alternate, PcComponentes, Newegg, Best Buy and many more) in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States and India. Ask ChatGPT to find the cheapest graphics card for a budget, compare where to buy a CPU, check whether a price is a good deal, or browse monitors, SSDs, laptops and prebuilt PCs with the same filters as the DropReference website: specifications (chipset, VRAM, socket, capacity, resolution...), quality tags, retailers, price range and price rating. Results include the current lowest price in your country, every live retailer offer sorted from cheapest, the price history and a price rating (amazing, good, fair or high) computed from that history. Product cards link to DropReference, which redirects you to the retailer. Limitations: DropReference only covers PC hardware and peripherals, prices are refreshed continuously but can change at the retailer, and the app does not place orders or handle payments. No account is needed and no personal data is collected.

- Get category filters · Read-only action
Use this before search_catalog to get the valid filters of a product category in a country: specification keys with their allowed values or numeric ranges, quality tags, retailers, sort options and price indicators.
- Get price history · Read-only action
Use this to tell whether now is a good time to buy a product: returns its daily lowest and average price over the last days in a country's currency, with the period minimum, maximum and current price.
- Get product offers · Read-only action
Use this to get the full details of one product and every live retailer offer in a country, sorted from cheapest: price, retailer, new or used, availability and a DropReference link to each offer. Also returns specifications, quality tags and variants (other colors or memory sizes).
- Search the catalog · Read-only action
Use this to list products of one category that are currently on sale in a country, with live lowest prices. Only returns products that have a live price in that country. Supports the same filters as the DropReference website: free text, price range, specifications, tags, retailers and price indicators. Call get_category_filters first to get valid specification keys/values, tags and retailers.
- Search products by name · Read-only action
Use this to find a product by name or model across all categories (e.g. "RTX 5070 Ti", "Ryzen 7 9800X3D", "Samsung 990 Pro 2TB"). Only returns products that currently have at least one live retailer offer in the region, with their EAN, category, lowest live price and number of offers, components first and then by number of offers, plus matching specification values (such as a GPU chipset) that can be used as search_catalog filters. Pass category when the user wants a specific kind of product, so that prebuilt PCs or laptops containing that part are excluded. Call get_product_offers with an EAN for the full list of live prices.
- Show product cards · Read-only action
Use this to display up to 8 products as visual cards with live price, price rating, best retailer and links. Only products that currently have a live retailer offer in the region are shown. First find the products with search_catalog, search_products or get_product_offers, then pass the EANs you want to show, in display order.

Server Instructions
DropReference compares live PC hardware prices (components, laptops, prebuilt PCs) across many retailers in Europe, the UK, the US and India. Always use these tools for prices, stock and offers: never invent prices or availability. Prices and retailers depend on the user's country: ask for it when it is unknown. Only recommend products that have a live price and at least one live retailer offer in that country. Never present a product as buyable when its price is null or its offers list is empty. Before filtering a category by specifications, tags or retailers, call get_category_filters to get the valid keys and values. To show products visually, call show_product_cards with the EANs you selected. Always share the DropReference links returned by the tools so the user can check the offer.
